Measuring and Fitting

Who is responsible for proper measurements?

IMPORTANT: Please take extra time to measure ALL of your windows accurately. Since all of our products are custom made, it is up to you to provide us with accurate sizes. Please always refer to our 'Measuring Guide'. Measure each window, and measure them twice to be sure. Sometimes two or three windows in the same room can look identical but could actually be off by as much as 30 - 40mm.

Are the installation instructions included?

All of our products come with the installation instructions supplied in the box.

What if I measure something incorrectly?

We will do whatever we can to assist you with improperly measured blinds. Sometimes, if the measurement is only slightly off it can be resized at a nominal fee but this depends entirely on how far off and what type of blind it is.

What is the difference between inside recess and outside recess fit?

An inside recess fit is when the blind fits inside the window opening. Mounting as an inside fit generally has a cleaner, neater look. An outside recess fit can be used if there isn't enough depth to mount the product inside the opening. Sliding glass doors and wood cased shallow windows are popular outside fit choices.

How do I measure if I want to fit a roller blind onto a door with a window in it?

This might be in a bathroom door or maybe a front door, in which case an exact width measurement is required. You will need to add 36mm on to your width measurements to ensure there is sufficient fabric coverage to cover the glass area. This is because the width of fabric on a roller blind is narrower than the width of the roller mechanism including brackets, so this needs allowing for by adding on the 36mm.

Do you supply brackets and fixing screws?

Yes we will supply you with all the screws and brackets you need to install your new blinds.
